Harley-Davidson Pan America Adventours 2026: Andalusia's Mountains, from Lorca to Sotogrande

Harley-Davidson Pan America Adventours 2026: Andalusia's Mountains, from Lorca to Sotogrande

Last year we crossed the Pyrenees from sea to sea on a Harley-Davidson Pan America. This autumn we are doing it again, and this time the adventure passes very close to home: from 21 to 25 October 2026, the Harley-Davidson Pan America Adventours: Montes de Andalucía will ride through the mountain ranges of Jaén, Granada, Málaga and Cádiz, from Lorca to Sotogrande. Tropical Riders took part in the first edition, the Transpirenaica, and we will be on the starting line once again, this time also as TecDrive's collaborators in preparing the route tracks. In this article we explain what Pan America Adventours is, how the Transpirenaica went, what the Andalusian edition will look like stage by stage and why the Pan America is the perfect bike for this kind of trip.

What is Pan America Adventours?

Pan America Adventours is a series of guided motorcycle trips organised by TecDrive together with Harley-Davidson España, designed exclusively for owners of the Harley-Davidson Pan America, the Milwaukee brand's adventure bike. The idea is simple and very appealing: mixed routes of tarmac and forest tracks, checked in advance for large adventure bikes, with everything taken care of so that riders only have to worry about enjoying themselves.

It is not a day ride or a typical rally. It is a multi-day trip in a small group, with guides, a support vehicle, accommodation and meals included, and the route track for every participant. The format sits halfway between an organised tour and an off-road adventure, and it is where the Pan America shows what it was built for: eating up miles of tarmac and leaving it behind when the route calls for it.

2025: the first edition, the Transpirenaica

The first Pan America Adventours took place in October 2025 and could hardly have had a more epic setting: a mixed route of roads and forest tracks that crossed the Pyrenees from the Cantabrian Sea to the Mediterranean. Three stages of between 200 and 400 kilometres a day:

  • Departure from Donostia (San Sebastián), crossing the Basque Country, Navarre and Aragon to spend the night at the legendary Canfranc Station.
  • The queen stage, through northern Catalonia, with an overnight stop in Puigcerdà.
  • The finish at the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, on Cap de Creus, overlooking the Mediterranean.

As TecDrive noted in its report, it was four days in northern Spain without a single drop of rain. Tropical Riders was part of that first expedition, and we brought two things back with us: the certainty that the Pan America is an exceptional bike for touring on tracks and mountain roads fully loaded with luggage, and the desire to do it again. The organisers closed their report by announcing that they were already preparing the next adventure. That adventure is Montes de Andalucía.

We filmed all three stages of the first edition. Here they are in full, just as we lived them from the saddle:

2026: Montes de Andalucía

The second edition swaps the north for the south. From 21 to 25 October 2026, the Pan America convoy will ride through Andalusia's mountain ranges from east to west: it will set off from Lorca (Murcia), at the eastern gateway to Andalusia, and finish in Sotogrande (Cádiz), next to the Strait of Gibraltar, crossing the provinces of Jaén, Granada, Málaga and Cádiz along the way. As with the Transpirenaica, it is a mixed route combining twisty roads with forest tracks.

This edition also has a special connection with us: Tropical Riders has worked with TecDrive on preparing the tracks for Montes de Andalucía. We have put our knowledge of the roads and tracks of the south, in the same mountains we ride every week with our customers, at the organisers' disposal so that the route brings out the best in the Pan America and in the Andalusian mountains.

Day-by-day programme

Wednesday21 OctoberParticipant welcome in Lorca

Friday23 OctoberStage 2: Cazorla – Granada
Saturday24 OctoberStage 3: Granada – Sotogrande
Sunday25 OctoberParticipants make their own way home

Stage 1: from Lorca to Cazorla

The first day leaves the Murcian market gardens behind and heads into inland Andalusia towards Cazorla, in the province of Jaén. Cazorla is the gateway to the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park, the largest protected area in Spain and the source of the river Guadalquivir. Pine forests, ravines and forest tracks: ideal terrain for the Pan America to show its most adventurous side on day one.

Stage 2: from Cazorla to Granada

The second stage crosses inland Jaén and Granada to reach the city of the Alhambra. This is the stage that passes closest to home for us: Granada is about an hour from our base in Marina del Este, and its surroundings, with Sierra Nevada in the background, are part of the routes we ride every day with our customers.

Stage 3: from Granada to Sotogrande

The final stage heads south from Granada through the province of Málaga to Sotogrande, in Cádiz, where the trip ends with views of the Mediterranean and, on clear days, the African coast. It is a finish that mirrors the Transpirenaica: if in 2025 the adventure ended by the sea on Cap de Creus, in 2026 it ends by the sea once more, this time at the other end of Spain.

What is included and how it works

  • Hotel accommodation throughout the trip.
  • Full board: breakfasts and dinners at the hotels and lunches on the road.
  • Guides: one guide for every 6 participants.
  • Sweep vehicle providing support during the stages.
  • GPS tracking beacon for every participant.
  • Luggage transfer from hotel to hotel, so you can ride the tracks with a light bike.
  • GPX track of the route.

Places are limited to 30 bikes and the trip is reserved for owners of a Harley-Davidson Pan America. The prices published by the organisers are €1,030 for a solo rider in a single room, €890 for a solo rider in a double room and €1,780 for a couple in a double room. Registration closed on 10 September 2026; if you missed it, keep an eye out for the next edition on the TecDrive website or at your Harley-Davidson dealer.

Why the Pan America is the bike for this trip

The Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special is the brand's first adventure bike, and on trips like Adventours it is easy to see why it has won over so many riders who had never considered a Harley:

  • 1,252 cc Revolution Max engine, with more than enough power to ride with luggage or two-up.
  • Adaptive electronic suspension that adjusts to tarmac and tracks without the rider having to think about it.
  • Brembo brakes and riding modes to ride safely on any surface.
  • Adjustable screen, comfort and heated grips, much appreciated on cool October mornings in the mountains.

After 3 stages of 200 to 400 km through the Pyrenees, we can say it from experience: it is a bike you enjoy just as much on the motorway to the next mountain range as on the forest track leading to the best viewpoint.
